THIS IS A LIMITED TERM APPOINTMENT (POSITION HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE)
Conducts research, special studies, and analysis of applicable processes and policy, and grant requirements. Serve as subject matter expert to Michigan Works! Agencies and other partners, and provides training and technical assistance as directed. As assigned, coordinates with employers, service providers and community based organizations to enhance employment, training, and placement opportunities for veterans. Functions as liaison to appropriate partners, as directed. In partnership with Michigan Works! Agencies, conducts employer outreach to promote employment opportunities for veterans. Assists in the preparation of promotional, training, and procedural materials.
At the 9 and 10 levels the employee performs, in an independent location under the supervision of the Employment Services Manager 14, a range of facilitation, research and analysis activities in a developing capacity.
This position covers Prosperity Region 1.

One year of professional experience involving the research and analysis of employment services and workforce programs equivalent to an Employment Services Analyst 9.
Employment Services Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience involving the research and analysis of employment services and workforce programs equivalent to an Employment Services Analyst, including one year equivalent to an Employment Service Analyst 10.

Salary for this position is entirely federally funded. Under federal law an employee whose salary is entirely federally funded may not be a candidate for public office in a partisan election.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
Must attach: (1) copy of DD214; (2) proof of service connected disability from the Veterans Administration (if applicable); (3) copy of official college transcripts (if applicable).
Must have a valid driver's license. Job requires considerable travel by automobile.
