Support stamping operators by setting and troubleshooting all tool set ups into production equipment
-Set up progressive and line dies in 150T to 1250 T stamping presses.
-Set up and adjust straighteners and feeders
-Set up conveyors for scrap and part removal
-Utilize quick die change techniques
-Perform coil changes
-Work in a safe and efficient manner following lock-out/tag-out procedures
-Set die as per written check-off procedure
-Inspect and follow die setup procedures to conform to all written quality procedures.
-Check first pieces of each run to the quality gages as per the written quality procedures.
-Follow quick die set up procedures.
-Submit required pieces to quality leaders for first piece approval and approval to run.
-Install all scrap shakers and safety guards before turning over press to operator.
-Follow written quality procedures at end of run for last piece production instructions.
-Other duties, which are not essential functions, as assigned.
-Maintain need and orderly work environment by participating in daily housekeeping duties.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years previous die set up experience in metal stamping facility. Must have own tools or ability to purchase tools. On-the-job- training for candidate that has previous automatic press experience and aptitude for mechanical set up.
