Ottobock Orthopedic Services (OBOS) is looking for a Logistics/Service Center Administrator (SCA) at our Novi, MI office. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week with benefits. Time is split between job duties Logistics Support (95%) and Service Center Administration (5%).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Logistics Support Duties
Responsible for communicating with customers by phone and email, creating and processing sales orders for B2B product sales.
Assists with maintenance of payer, material and other data in the order processing system.
Completes special projects as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Service Center Administrator Duties
Maintain the Service Center in accordance with all established standards required by Payers, Local and Federal Governments, Accrediting Agency, and Ottobock's Policies.
Audit the service center per accreditation requirements and company standards monthly and submit audit paperwork to the Compliance Specialist.
Correct deficiencies as they are identified.
Demonstrate professional demeanor at all times (includes dress code, use of company property, etc.).
Greet visitors and participate in the successful completion of regulatory and/or accreditation site visits/audits.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Logistics support experience in healthcare industry required; Excellent working knowledge and understanding of purchasing and inventory control.
Knowledge of or exposure to medical terminology.
Professional and positive telephone manner.
Excellent PC skills; typing of 45 wpm, excellent ten key skills.
Must be able to work independently; Experience working alone is preferred but not required. (Each SCA works in a single person office).
Track record of excellent attendance. Must be reliable.
Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and Team player.
Successful track record of meeting/exceeding production goals.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Software.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years' experience in the Healthcare Industry, preferably in Customer Service or Medical Billing in the orthopedic or medical device industry.
Minimum 2 years' experience in materials management.
Experience in medical billing (prefer DME, Orthotics, and/or Prosthetics billing experience).
Experience utilizing HCPCS billing codes.
Experience managing administrative tasks (ie. data entry, review of medical records, etc.).
SAP experience is preferred.
