PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Work primarily with manufactured and rebuilt equipment, including installation, warranty work, customer training, troubleshooting and general repairs. Work assignments are of greatest variety and complexity. Supervision received is limited. Incumbents work independently or as members of team. May suggest modifications of equipment or installation to meet customer requirements. Work may include instructing customer personnel in the correct operation of equipment. Work may include providing training and work direction for other technicians. Areas of specialization will include mechanical, electronic and others.
•Equipment installation at customer sites.
•Monitor and improve customer relations.
•Solicit sales of spare parts while performing repairs/service calls.
•Determine cause of field related problems, report corrective action taken and make suggestions to prevent reoccurrence of this of similar problems on future equipment. Initiate, follow-up and document corrective action required.
•Additional on-site duties as required
•Participate in preparation of proposals for service work and equipment overhauls.
•Submit timely reports that are detailed and specific
•Travel is required. This is a remote position.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
•Computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft Office Suite products; Word, Excel will be required.
•Self-starter, highly motivated, team player and able to work independently without direct supervision.
•10 years minimum experience in field service.
•Ability to develop and maintain an excellent interface with customers.
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Experience in hydraulics, most importantly, with a strong working knowledge in electrical and diesel propulsion systems used in mining equipment.
•Excellent communication skills required.
•Extensive travel required.
•Extended periods of sitting, bending.
•May work in difficult or tight quarters.
•May lift up to 50 lbs. on occasions
