Responsible for applying electrical and electronics theory and related knowledge to set up test environments, design test plans, develop test cases/use cases and execute these test cases to fully test the product or the system to ensure it functions properly and meets the business needs; review specifications and requirements regarding planning of tests and or test cases as directed by the project manager; conduct performance of advanced test cases as directed by the project manager; execute test cases, complete creative free testing, and document results; support the laboratory engineering teams by performing both software and hardware related tasks; perform engineering hardware/software test bench setup and maintenance; utilize Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Digital multimeter, GSM, GPS, Electronic control units (ECUs), and Bluetooth to perform duties; evaluate test results; write test reports that will be reviewed and approved by the project manager before being released; report opinions and interpretations based upon engineering knowledge and experience; suggest modification of methods to the project manager; participate in the development and validation of new methods; research new technologies and provide technology overview to laboratory personnel; provide assistance to the laboratory supervisory personnel; supervise laboratory technicians and trainees in the performance of their assigned tasks; and provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.
Location: Madison Heights, MI and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US
Salary: $90,000 per year
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
