About this Opportunity
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Lead, you'll independently develop and apply engineering theories and concepts to assignments in support of business objectives and provide engineering leadership and expertise, as well as lead a team of 5 engineering technicians. You will review design and documentation to ensure compliance with design criteria and standards. You'll also conduct feasibility studies, determine manpower and cost estimates, and develop engineering criteria. In addition, you will apply originality, ingenuity, and knowledge of other disciplines in solving complex problems. Emphasis in your work will be placed on your team leadership, participation, communication, ability to plan, and ability to achieve results on assigned projects.

Lead, define, and complete complex engineering tasks with minimal oversight of leadership.
Manage and hold accountability for budgets and expenses.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Present work output in a clear and concise manner.
Schedule and coordinate major segments of complex engineering projects to meet cost and time objectives.
Work broadly across the organization at a strategic level applying knowledge of other disciplines in solving complex problems.
Sound Like You?
You might be just who we're looking for if you have . . .
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
Seven to ten years of professional experience.
Proven experience in leading cross-functional technical project teams.
Knowledge in Lean principles and their application.
The ability to assess process concepts and determine where continuous improvement opportunities exist.
The ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels including Production, Engineering, and management, and the ability to work well with and develop a partnering relationship with other team members.
Knowledge in the use of common office automation software, Herman Miller mainframe applications, and engineering-related software.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to apply engineering expertise to solving problems.
The ability to be an effective team leader, which includes setting team goals and commitments and holding team members accountable for their assigned tasks.
A proven ability to assess priorities and determine a course of action with minimal day-to-day supervision, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and respond effectively to changes which affect project plans.
An overall business sense and an understanding of how decisions affect the business.
The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
