Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a public policy, business, or related field
- Knowledge of principles and practices of research methods

Responsibilities
Conduct Proactive Research
- Find solicitation opportunities using search engines, GSA eBuy, client communication, and other tools
- Communicate with clients regarding solicitation opportunities, as well as status updates
- Obtain additional bid documents to support bid decisions
- Conduct deep dive research for all solicitations (price history, incumbents, etc.)
- Ensure clients (or JetCo Capture) can upload bids to electronic sites
- Monitor bid sites for amendments, answers to questions submitted, etc.; communicate bid changes to internal and external bid response team
- Monitor for award following submission; find timely to enable debrief and protest
- Submit FOIA requests upon request
Conduct Reactive Research
- Participate in new client onboarding activities
- Manage client key words, codes and registrations using Salesforce; tickle any upcoming expirations to support and impress clients with maintenance
- Populate and maintain research fields for account records in Salesforce
- Populate search engines with key words and codes for each capture client; maintain these as needed, at least quarterly
- Find critical intelligence that supports capture plan development
- Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc requests regarding competitors, target agencies, expiring contracts and forecasts
- Find timely answers to questions generated by the Capture and Proposal Management teams
- Participate in the development of bid decision trees for each capture client
- Monitor targeted captures to maintain knowledge of status / release
- Review client data quarterly to identify trends of interest that support Capture
Perform Research Projects
- Develop, maintain, and continually improve research-based ‘product’ templates
- Develop questions / communication tools for vetting prospects to ensure our research products provide meaningful research which advance their goals
- Develop pricing model or price build-out template for consistent, efficient pricing for non-deliverable based projects
- Participate in marketing idea development and tactical outreach to promote and sell products
- Lead efforts to develop consistent communication to ensure a positive, outrageously impressive customer experience
- Conduct research to support prospect development
- Complete projects to support company growth and strategic plan execution
- Be able to describe and brag about the role research plays in impressing clients
Additional Responsibilities
- Recommend search engines based on thorough review of functionality, cost, ease of use, etc.
- Serve respectfully as an interface between JetCo and the service provider
- Learn every detail of functionality offered by each search engine, with an eye for quickly answering questions to support bid cycle and capture research
- Maximize the functionality of each search engine to obtain process efficiency and best allocation of JetCo resources
- Develop and maintain an electronic knowledge management system to eliminate redundant research, spur ideas for the Capture team, and ensure we are current with critical knowledge in government acquisitions
- Document general intelligence (forecasts, programmatic budgets, key analyses, etc.) in the system using intuitive naming structure
- Report key updates made to the KM system during the previous week
- Handle (or support clients with) solicitation-specific or agency-specific vendor registrations
- Follow SOP to avoid representing clients on certifications or registrations requiring sensitive information
