Description
Safety
Lead and manage safety for the district
Ensure team members are completing proactive safety measures such as Safe Work Permits and Behavior Based Safety Observations
Identify opportunities for safety improvements
Utilize safety discussions to prevent complacency
Sales Operations
Safely meet and ideally exceed business plan for Revenue, Gross Profit and Operating Profit
Manage cost budget
Ensure value is being delivered and documented to customers
Provide sales forecasts for revenue and gross profit
Work with sales team to maintain a realistic sales funnel
Establish and maintain high level customer relationships at key accounts
Utilize customer feedback to improve the Solenis experience
Maintain Solenis Brand on customer and internal documentation
Team Development
Coach and Lead Area Managers for productive team coaching and development
Utilize Solenis resources such as TREK to build competencies / skill sets in direct reports and indirect reports
Work with Area Managers to properly resource accounts and accommodate new business opportunities
Open lines of communications and forums for team members to communicate/collaborate about sales targets and opportunities
Vision for the Future
Utilize Business Development Managers and Sales Managers to strategically prospect and grow new business
Continuously work to develop the sales and service team
Establish and execute a 3-5 year growth plan for the district and modify as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree; BS degree in Engineering, or Life Sciences preferred
Experience in packaging and graphic/specialty papers a plus
10+ years experience in paper industry OR specialty chemicals with proven track record of increasing sales and gross profit growth
Experience coaching, developing and leading a team of sales professionals
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with multiple levels of an organization
Prior experience that demonstrates a strong financial acumen; MBA preferred
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office programs
Must have a valid Driver's License & clean driving record
Ability travel as required to support the district; at least 30% of the time
Must be authorized to work in the United States as sponship is not offered at this time
