Your Role
As a Workplace Strategist at Gensler, you will be a critical member of a dynamic and diverse Workplace Studio. As a studio, we collaborate across practice areas to create integrated solutions for a wide range of industries and project scales. You will focus on process leadership, facilitation, leading research, data collection activities and teaming to synthesize goals within projects across a broad range of industries and services, including change management strategy, workplace performance, occupancy and real estate portfolio strategy.
How You Will Be Successful
As a Workplace Strategist you are an integral part of a team with the responsibility to lead, communicate and collaborate in partnership with clients and design teams. You should be able to demonstrate your sensitivity to human-centered design through your approach with people and use these insights to problem solve and relate to your audience. As a visible leader on projects and to the client your appearance and tone should support the culture of the office and the professionalism of the firm.
What You Will Do
Facilitate strategic conversations to connect the business objectives of the organization with the project goals to develop future workplace strategies.
Discover and leverage internal and external research, benchmarks and trends to facilitate client discussions about the future of their work place.
Facilitate information gathering activities in the form of surveys, observations, focus groups and workshops to engage with clients and teams to set direction for the future of the workplace.
Synthesize and interpret information, create presentations, develop workplace strategies to support the research, trends and voice of the client to both challenge and address their needs for the future of the workplace.
Prepare and deliver influential story telling graphic presentations and information graphics branded to the client.
Who You Will Do It With
Team with change managers, design leaders, project directors and managers as part of a leadership team to deliver best-in-class strategies and design for our clients.
Teach, mentor and guide junior strategist and designers to build skills and prepare them to lead workshops, synthesize information, develop presentations to communicate and illustrate and project goals and strategies.
Partner with other strategists and consultants across the region and globe to find expertise you may not currently have and establish relationships to best support our clients.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Strong narrative skills.
Communication, presentation and design team collaboration skill.
Ability to guide or inform design strategies and design planning for workplace projects.
Confidence in facilitating strategic conversations.
Able to demonstrate a human-centered approach to design research.
Have a positive contribution to the studio culture.
5-10+ years professional experience.
Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience executing projects in one or more areas related to design strategy, human-centered design, management consulting, market research, corporate strategy, real estate services, product development or related.
