Position Description:
Design, develop, validate and maintain on-board diagnostic (OBD) solutions for powertrain technologies needed to meet global diagnostic requirements. Perform base OBD software calibration, validation and troubleshooting while also supporting EOL, Service and program specific calibrators to deliver diagnostic program content on time and with quality. Responsibilities include: - Develop diagnostic system specifications that meet global OBD regulatory requirements. - Develop diagnostic validation procedures - Perform HIL,vehicle and chassis dynamometer data collection and analysis required for validation of diagnostic monitoring capability - Lead and resolve supplier software and calibration launch issues in a timely manner. - Author Matlabscripts to analyze system/diagnostic behavior and assist the calibration process - Author functional requirements, Calibration Guides, and fault demonstration methods for diagnostic algorithms - Create and maintain GlobalJ1979, manufacturer specific DID, global inhibit matrix, and AECD timer lists for NA programs - Support SSFT/CMP meetings to present new concepts,resolve issues, approve service procedures, address field issues. First project involves designing Python 3 scripts to extend dSPACE Autodesk for purpose of running J1979 validation on all production-intent ICE based powertrains. In addition to these new Python 3 scripts, further development of existing Python scripts will be required - purpose of these scripts will be to populate the part 2 specification with program specific information needed to run the J1979 testing
