ID/OD Grinder
We are looking for an experienced ID/OD Grinder to run a Kellenberger 600U & 1000U ID/OD manual Grinder as well as a Parker Majestic ID manual Grinder. I The Grind/Machinist Operator position will set up and operate the grinding machine to process customer hardware.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various ID/OD grinding machines to perform specific operations.
- Handling of customer hardware using proper methods.
- Use of precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions of product for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to grind to a tolerance of +/- .0001
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to set up and run parts with little supervision and yield on the 1st run.
- Ability to work with exotic materials.
- Knowledge of feeds, speeds, dressing of wheels, use of coolants and oils.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of very recent ID/OD Grinding experience is preferred
- Excellent and/or correctable vision
- Ability to accomplish tasks and follow directions without deviation from procedures
- Requires a high school diploma/GED or graduation from a certified technical school
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with strong attention to detail
- 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred
- Must be able to use the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simply written memos, and instructions)
Work Environment:
Climate-controlled clean production environment. In this position, you are primarily standing with an option of sitting throughout the shift.

Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts Monday – Thursday
- Fridays are reserved for OT when necessary
- 1st Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
- 2nd shift 4:15 pm – 2:45 am
