Summary:
CPM Extrusion Group is a global leader in the design, and manufacture of extrusion equipment for markets including compounding, reactive extrusion, recycling, food and so on. We have facilities in the US, Germany and China.
To strengthen our global sales team, we are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager - Equipment located at the site in Traverse City, US. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly successful and profitable business that is looking for an individual with strong commercial aptitude and outstanding people skills.
Main responsibilities and key activities:
Develop the commercial strategy by customer and/or by geographic area
Grow the business of CPM Extrusion Group and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
Responsible for establishing and developing strong customer relationships over time
Representing the company at various external events, trade shows and conferences
Acts as the single point of contact for assigned and new customers for products & services
Demonstrate and document an understanding of accounts business strategy, objectives and goals
Support the potential customer from the initial contact until the conclusion of the contract, including negotiation
Coordinate the proposal and negotiation phase while you are responsible for the entire sales process along the way
Explanation and demonstration of the products/solutions sold and strategic thinking with the client (requires in-depth knowledge of the product line and its applications)
Creation of the technical and commercial offer in collaboration with different technical departments
Putting together sales strategies to target large accounts
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor or master´s degree in economics/engineering or sales
Experience or knowledge in the extrusion or plastics compounding industry would be preferred
5 to 10 years' experience in the sales of complex engineering projects in an international context
Mobile internationally and have to ability to travel frequently
Great commercial skills with obvious management and negotiation expertise
Enthusiasm and determination to succeed
Self-motivation with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Fluent in English and possible any other foreign language
