General Information:
Job Title: Machine Builder
Employee Type: Full-Time (45-55 hrs./week)
Shift: 1st Shift 5:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)
Location: Coopersville, MI
Job Type: Mid-Level – 2 years of previous assembly experience preferred
Pay: $18.00-$22.00/hr. as well as overtime and bonus potential
Other: This position does NOT require travelling
Job Tasks:
As a Machine Builder, you will construct, assemble, and rebuild machines such as conveyors, lifts, chain transfers, upenders and related specialty equipment from a blueprint.
As a Machine Builder, you are expected to:
- Read and understand custom assembly, layout drawings, blueprints, and bills of material
- Assemble drive train systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears, sprockets, and pulleys
- Fasten or install fixtures or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools or welding equipment
- Lay out and drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly
- Work with 480/3 phase, 110vac single phase, and 24vdc power for drive motors and rollers
- Work with 24vdc and 110vac control power for devices and solenoids
- Work with and assemble mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices and equipment
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license
- Prior experience driving a Hi-Lo preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- 2+ years of assembly experience preferred
