GENERAL SUMMARY: The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting metrics and results connected to measurable marketing initiatives including local/service line programs, brand initiatives, communication messaging, social/digital campaigns, website analytics, physician liaison activities and experiments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for analyzing and deriving insights from data. This position will support Marketing, Communications and Physician Liaison leadership in the analysis of data and make recommendations to activate insights, including recommendations on whether to stop, change or increase investment in marketing activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Use campaign data to formulate analysis and recommendations for campaign optimization across a spectrum of paid, earned and owned media.
Maintain ROI / metrics dashboards linked to financial drivers of business.
Work in collaboration with Marketing Data Analytics leadership to set up experiments and select and define key performance indicators for control and test cells. Analyze results and develop recommendations. Identify opportunities to modify plans as needed.
Support and use CRM/PRM systems. Compile data feeds and upload into systems. Work with marketing and physician liaison leaders to analyze new approaches and campaigns, informing leaders on program results. Identify and prioritize targeted consumers and physicians. Run reports and analyze results; share insights with marketing, communications and physician liaison teams.
Analyze internal and external encounter/claims data to identify areas of business opportunity.
Trend, track and analyze consolidated marketing and communications annual budget. Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
Perform ad-hoc data analysis using a consumer segmentation model.
Help prepare informative and well-organized presentations showcasing insights and recommendations supported by data; know how to tell a "story" with data and insights.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or similar quantitative field required.
2+ years of experience in data analysis; health care or marketing experience preferred
Other Qualifications:
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, SPSS, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools, required; experience with tools such as R or Python a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of team members including senior leadership
Understanding of hospital & health system operations and associated business challenges
Keeps current with innovation and changes in the health care industry. Actively seeks opportunities to advance professional knowledge through internal and external sources.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in project priority
