Summary:
Responsible for the onboarding of new hires to ensure all the proper documentation, training, credentials, and health requirements are completed before new employee's start date. Oversee the New Hire Orientation day and work with leaders to ensure that new hire orientation plans are established.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Prepare all new employee files for documentation
Responsible for all communication post offer with the employee
Track all new employee information to ensure compliance
Complete background checks
Coordinate Workplace Health Screening
Maintain and collect needed credentialing
Track and ensure all I-9 documentation is complete
Assemble new hire packets, assist with completion of new hire paperwork
Coordinate and run New Employee Orientation, meetings, and other training sessions
Responsible for sending invitations to new employees, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and coordinate food and meeting rooms or sessions
Create an engaging, interactive and informational new hire orientation experience
Work with leaders to ensure a department onboarding plan is in place for all new employees
Work with leaders during acquisitions to properly onboard transitioning employees into the HRIS system
Enter new hire information into HRIS, LEM, and Rounding tools
Essential Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements):
1 year experience working in a Human Resources or Recruitment Department required
Minimum associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
Competent in word processing (type 60 words per minute) and spreadsheet applications Knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Front Page and online recruiting
Demonstrated interpersonal skills; i.e., able to greet public and work well with a variety of people, including the physically disabled
Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make independent decisions and coordinate projects, as needed
Physical Demands:
Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time)
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 10 pounds occasionally
Able to sit for the majority of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing.
Able to use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time)
