POSITION: Facilities Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time - Non-Exempt
RESPONSIBLE TO: Assigned Operations, SVRC Janitors
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Assigned Program Participants & Vehicle if Assigned
PRIMARY RESPONSBILITY:
- To supervise and participate in the janitorial tasks of an assigned building within SVRC's janitorial projects and properties.
- To maintain SVRC properties safely and securely.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and participate in the training and orientation of program participants eligible for janitorial positions within the cleaning contracts that SVRC operates.
- Manage a systematic cleaning schedule established within contract specifications, with special emphasis on quality control.
- Utilize an established quality control checklist on a daily basis, periodical cleaning schedules and report results directly to the Director of Operations or Designee.
- Maintain attendance, performance and other records relative to janitorial program participants as assigned.
- Track inventory, request necessary cleaning supplies and arranges for the timely maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Ensure that appropriate safety standards and procedures are maintained in all job duties.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support the rehabilitation program and contract cleaning requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on SVRC properties and vehicles or supervise the repairs of other contractors on SVRC Assets.
- Perform routine inspections on quality, safety, and security as needed and assigned.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Attend trainings and courses designed to better assist the agency
- Perform hard-floor maintenance: Stripping, waxing and refinishing.
- Perform carpet cleaning utilizing carpet extraction method.
- Perform any required cleaning above 72' utilizing appropriate safety equipment and tools.
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of supervisory experience, or working as a crew leader with progressively more job responsibility, preferably in a janitorial situation.
- Experience working with, and training, individuals who have disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies is necessary.
- Evidence of organizational abilities, as well as basic skills in communicating with a variety of people, is required.
