*This position is at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital in Frankfort.*
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
For those hired into an RN position prior to January 1, 2009, it is encouraged to obtain a BSN. Certification in the specialty area of practice is also encouraged.
For those hired into an RN position after January 1, 2009, it is required to obtain a BSN within ten years of their start date as an RN.Certification in the specialty area of practice is strongly encouraged.
Is a self-directed professional with the ability to make independent judgments directing patient care.
Demonstrates ability in using the computer with Windows format preferred.
GENERAL NURSING POSITIONS: (Acute Care, Venous Access Specialty, Recovery Room, Respiratory Therapy)
Two to 3 years RN experience in an AcuteMedical/Surgicalsetting is required.
Experience in Intravenous Therapy is desirable.
Current BLS certification required.ACLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT/HOUSE SUPERVISOR POSITIONS:
Three to 5 years RN experience in an Acute Medical Surgical setting is required.
Previous experience in a charge nurse/supervisory role is strongly preferred.
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
ORGANIZATION
Accountable to the Director of Clinical Servicesor designee of the assigned patient care unit; ultimately accountable for the practice of nursing to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Provides direction to and supervision of LPNs, Techs, Clerks, CENAs, and/or other categories as needed.
Works collaboratively and effectively with all members of the Patient Care Team and other Clinical and Ancillary Services Departments.
