GDIT has a great opportunity for a highly qualified automation test engineer to support continued test activities for EPA's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager web application. This web application is publicly accessible and allows commercial building owners to track their energy data and measure their buildings' energy efficiency. This web application also provides a robust set of REST APIs for external systems to integrate with. This person will be expected to effectively communicate testing activities (both manual and automated), work independently on an Agile team, support team members, and respond effectively to demanding deadlines.
Requirements
- at least 5 years of documented automation testing experience
--Bachelor Degree (preferably related field)
strong written and oral communication skills
demonstrated years of experience with various testing frameworks
demonstrated years of experience with UI automation testing (such as Selenium WebDriver)
demonstrated years of experience with one or more of scripting languages such as Java, Groovy, etc
demonstrated years of experience with SQL and database (Oracle)/backend testing
demonstrated years of experience with web services / API testing (REST and SOAPUI)
demonstrated years of experience with load testing
ability to adapt easily to working in an Agile environment
demonstrated experience, enthusiasm, and motivation to develop, set up and perform automation testing (manual testing experience/expertise will be required at times)
prior development experience is desired
working experience with continuous integration tool (Jenkins) and GIT
good knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux systems
strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders
ability to train/mentor junior automation test engineers
