Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Site Logistics Technician in Auburn, MI.
Job Summary:
Loads and unloads vessels in a safe and efficient way - serving clients in an optimal way. Develops technical skills on the job to perform routine work activities using existing standard operating procedures. Completes assigned tasks with a close to moderate degree of supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supply Production and Packaging areas with intermediates, raw materials and packaging components for manufacturing process orders in a timely manner. This can be done through radio call or transfer orders
• Return finished products and unused intermediates, raw materials and packaging components to the warehouse for storage.
• Transfer any outgoing waste generated in the production and packaging areas to Environmental 90 day area
• Consolidate warehouse bin locations in the general warehouse, coolers and red label areas to best optimize storage rack space.
• Display good housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Load drop/ ship/ transfer order material onto CDW trailer. Verify that materials are being pulled accurately and transfer orders are initiated after pulling has occurred.
• Work with PDA if requested, in order to assure inventory accuracy levels are maintained, as defined by the Auburn Site.
• Assist receiving in putting away materials.
• Loading/Unloading Trailers when receiving personnel are not available.

Required Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must be willing to work weekends / 3-2-2 shift
• Must be willing to work overtime (OT built into shift, along with covering vacations/sick leave/etc.).
• Must have a current, valid US driver's license.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience with safe operation of Fork truck.
• SAP and ADC experience.
Physical Requirements:
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
• Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a respirator.
• Frequent/occasional lifting of material weighing approximately 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
• Stand 50% of the time.
• Walk for extended periods of time
• Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
• Work in tight and closed in spaces.
• Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
• Work in an area with hazardous materials

Education:
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
