Job Summary:
The inspector will be responsible for establishing quality inspection programs and processes that ensure company and customer requirements are met. Ensures all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed.
Projects may include water system master plans, hydraulic distribution system modeling, water audits, water quality studies, disinfection, water supply sustainability, water systems design (water treatment plants, pump stations, etc.), energy evaluations, water main replacement analysis, water vulnerability and emergency response, and Safe Drinking Water Program audits.
Projects may include water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, combined sewer overflow facilities, sanitary sewer stations, booster pump stations, transmission and/or distribution mains.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Works under general supervision.
May assist with training entry-level employees.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Minimum Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree or High School Diploma + 2 years of related experience
Broad exposure to different types of water projects
Familiarity with project contract fundamentals
Strong problem solving, organizational, people, math and accounting skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
