Social Worker - LLMSW or MSW Behavioral Health Services
Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital located in the heart of the Eastern Upper Peninsula. In addition to the hospital, the facility has 3 rural health clinics and an attached 39 bed Long Term Care facility. Helen Newberry Joy invites applications for the full-time position of Social Worker Behavioral Health Services for our Community Clinics. Do you want to achieve your LMSW Clinical designation? We will help you get there! Selected participants will work for 4,000 hours under supervision and then will be able to sit for the clinical designation. HNJH also supports Student Loan Forgiveness programs.
This position will provide case management, outpatient psychotherapy, and/or coordinate services for a variety of patients. This position will develop and monitor treatment plans, prepare case history and needs assessments, make diagnoses, provide counseling, follow up care, provide treatment and make appropriate referrals.
Position Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work with State of Michigan licensure as a Masters of Social Work (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master of Social Work (LLMSW) required.
An interest and commitment to providing mental health services to underserved populations in Michigan's rural Easter Upper Peninsula.
An ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with patients, coworkers, and the general public
Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Excellent organization skills; including, organizing work, prioritizing tasks, managing time, and an ability to work with minimal to no supervision (LLMSW required Supervision will be provided)

The ability to provide services in person, via tele-health or telephonic platforms.
Working knowledge and ability to use EMR, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
