This beautiful, 11-story Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport Hotel is conveniently located within minutes of the Detroit Metro Airport and just 15 minutes from the revitalized downtown Detroit. The hotel has 359 rooms, approximately 14,000 sq. feet of function space, a restaurant/lounge, indoor heated pool, a hot tub and a state-of-the-art Sheraton Fitness Center.
As a Banquet Server, you are responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Retrieve and deliver food and drinks to guests in a professional and pleasant manner.
Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
Continuously check on the needs of guests at events and respond in a proactive manner to any guest concerns to resolve.
Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times.
Set banquet tables to meet function specifications.
Ability to attend to guests, associates and management in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner which requires strong customer service as well as written and oral communication skills.
