Advance Engineering is a family-owned, full-scale metal stamping facility. We manufacture a wide variety of automotive and nonautomotive parts specializing in deep draw metal stamping. We have over 90 years of experience and expertise in our industry.
We are looking for an experienced stamping manager to join our team!
- Oversee a team of Die Setters for both progressive and eyelet dies.
- Be hands-on, have the ability to train and set dies when needed.
- Coordinate accurate communication to all shifts.
- Ensure 100% on-time delivery by taking necessary actions to meet daily production schedules.
- Prioritize and communicate daily production schedules and requirements to die-setters/leaders and production managers.
- Continuously monitor daily production requirements in all zones and take immediate corrective actions.
- Take immediate corrective actions when non-conforming product is produced.
- Monitor condition of production presses and equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance repairs and PMI schedule on production presses and equipment.
- Establish and maintain company quality systems throughout production and training production associates.
- Track and report set-up time study including die setter time for a) die setting; b) job set-up’s; c) operator; and d) other activities.
- Conducts performance appraisals on a timely basis following AEC guidelines.
- Offers suggestions for improvements for safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
- Maintains the work area and all equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Follows all general safety rules, procedures and regulations.
- Willingness to accept personal responsibility for quality, safety, and productivity.
- Punctuality and regular attendance is one of the essential functions of the job.
- Must work any and all overtime work requested as well as working any shift assigned.
- Recognize that the job extends beyond the specific responsibilities detailed and includes helping with whatever, and wherever help is needed to service the company.
Skills Required
- 5 or more years experience in manufacturing supervision specific to stamping industry.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must be able to operate a Hilo and overhead crane.
- Knowledge of set-ups/running conventional straight side presses.
- Poised person, able to handle pressure with common sense.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good at problem-solving with the ability to analyze written/verbal information and arrive at logical conclusions.
- Ability to train and motivate others.
- Result and goal-oriented person with high self-motivation.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see, hear, and speak fluent English
- Must be able to operate motor vehicles.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, twist, squat and walk around plant.
- Must be able to operate computer and office equipment.
