Job Description
As the CNC Operator/Machinist you will be responsible for taking jobs from cutter path programs to produce finished parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup tooling, Operate CNC equipment, basic inspection and finishing of the parts
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specifications
Utilizing manual G-Code and CAM systems when required
Maintains part specifications by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements specified by the manufacturer's instructions.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years machining experience necessary or equivalent
Understanding of CAM software preferably with Surfcam or FeatureCam
Tooling speeds and feeds selection responsibility
Manual Mill and Lathe Experience
2, 3 and 4 axis CNC operation
Utilization of GD&T standards
Interpersonal skills required to work with others from various disciplines and cultures.
Strong organizational skills to communicate technical data to colleagues and leadership
Strong level of analytical thinking
Preferred Skills:
2-year college degree Machining Fundamentals or related field
Experience operating 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines
Experience with both horizontal and vertical CNC machines
Familiar with UG and TeamCenter
CNC lathe operation experience
Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Fadal and Siemens controller experience
Understanding of the constantly evolving racing environment
