- Must obtain a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major of Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related behavior field OR be eligible to graduate within 90 days of application and able to submit an official transcript upon appointment to position; AND
- Have a minimum of one (1) year of previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or serious emotional disturbance OR have completed an internship at HealthWest or other agency working with youth or adults with mental health challenges (must be included on the application in the work experience section); AND
- Have or obtain a State of Michigan Limited or Full Masters Social Worker license, Limited or Full Marriage and Family Therapist License, Limited or Full Professional Counselor license, or Temporary or Limited Masters Psychologist license, or Full Psychologist License within 90 days of appointment.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
- Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.
- Bilingual candidates highly desired.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment.
- Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.
