GDIT is seeking a Microsoft Office 365 Tenant Automation Engineer to help provide Cloud Service Offering on an exciting new contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS). This is a full-time remote position.
GDIT requires an O365 automation engineer with experience automating tenant configurations in a Microsoft Office 365 deployment using REST API, PowerShell, M365DSC, etc. Tenant administrators will provide guidance on required configurations and the automation engineer will develop the optimal delivery methodology to deploy and maintain continuous compliance with desired configurations. The automation engineer will:
Review existing repositories and delivery methodologies and recommend optimizations or alternative DevSecOps platform(s) and protocols to enhance long-term sustainment
Follow software development best practices to facilitate collaboration, feature enhancement, issue tracking, testing, development, and production deployment
Implement Policy as Code (PaC) using platforms like Ansible, Terraform, M365DSC, etc
Utilize parameter driven, declarative syntax models when possible, to afford flexibility and simplicity to subscribing organizations
Establish a CI/CD pipeline that validates all releases in TestDev prior to deployment in production
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides top-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis.
Designs architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for DoD architectures.
Determines and identifies high level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the enterprise architecture.
Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades.
Interacts with project management to plan project schedules and technical direction.
Develops software design documents and technology white papers. Instrumental in selection of development tools.
Responsible for developing high level system design diagrams, testing, and documentation.
Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other task personnel.
Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.
Required Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret clearance
BA/BS Degree OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
DoD IAT Level II Certification
8 years of experience
Experience in Cloud, Azure, MS Office 365 support environments
Experience with languages/protocols such as Git, Python, Ruby, and PowerShell
Familiar with O365 related API endpoints and PowerShell Modules
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
