Application Support Specialist

OVERVIEW
As an ApplicationSupport Specialist you'll be responsible for providing 2nd level expertise and technical knowledge, answer inquiries and resolve issues, and escalate or close tickets as necessary, as they relate to key software applications. You'll have in-depth knowledge of operational business processes, software applications used to support them, and data flows across the business process as well as SQL skills necessary to acquire and analyze information.
JOB DUTIES
1 Provide outstanding customer service while triaging, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to supported applications.
2 Coordinate resolution activities with business and technical teams when required.
3 Create and maintain documentation needed to record and resolve issues.
4 Triage and troubleshoot assigned help desk tickets for supported applications.
5 Troubleshoot data quality issues found in Company reports and dashboards.
6 Identify and execute the appropriate actions to resolve tickets, including establishing and documenting workarounds where applicable.
7 Communicate findings to technical teams and coordinates hand-offs when necessary.
8 Work with technical teams to update needs and requirements for enhancements.
9 Maintain support service catalogs for all existing and newly-supported applications.
10 Support the development team during solution design and development where appropriate.
11 Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for existing and upcoming supported applications to gain understanding and expertise in order to support.
12 Utilize database scripting to perform advances queries on SQL databases.
13 Assist in property system data conversions, collecting and preparing data for migration.
14 Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, OR equivalent education and experience
* Minimum of 2 years experience supporting users of enterprise applications
* Prior experience writing data queries using MS SQL, preferred
* Ability to apply creative thinking and problem-solving skills to solving enterprise application issues
* Ability to create and maintain documentation including process and dataflow diagrams, use cases, requirements and data dictionaries
* Working knowledge of data structures (databases, files, and spreadsheets), data analysis and data reporting tools, MS Word, Excel and Visio
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail, multitasking, analytical and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
