12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week Afternoon/Mid shift
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma minimum. Associates Degree preferred.
BCLS required or obtain within six months of hire. Failure to obtain and maintain may result in termination of employment.
Knowledge of computer system helpful.
ORGANIZATION
Works with daily direction from the Radiology Technologist, Nursing and Physician and Management staff. Reports to Modality Coordinator, Manager and Director of Radiology.
Works collaboratively and effectively with all members of the Radiology clinical and support team.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Promotes personal and patient safety.
Accountable for providing professional care to patients, families and/or significant others. Task include but not limited to: greeting patients and their families, obtaining vital signs, assisting patients with dressing/undressing, transporting/ambulating patients and assisting patients with comfort needs.
Completes other department tasks such as stocking, checking outdated supplies, checking monthly CREED check list, cleaning patient rooms/equipment and running errands.
Assists with the Radiologic Technologist, Prep and Recovery Nurses or Radiologist with a variety of Radiologic procedures: verify patient orders, complete patient questionnaires, patient preparation, patient instructions, explains examination procedures and patient positioning.
Ensure the availability of required pre-procedure information (i.e., previous images, lab results etc.).
Performs computerized requisition, resulting and data entry as required under the direct supervision of Radiologic Technologists or RN.
Coordinate patient flow within given modalities and between radiology and the ED and IP units.
By phone or in person answers/triages inquiries from clinicians, office staff, scheduling, registration, patients/family, etc.
Adheres to prescribed standards for radiation protection and MRI equipment safety.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
