Kelly's Client is a supplier of agricultural ingredients specializing in the importing/exporting of
Native Starches, Proteins and Sweeteners to the Food, Pet Food, Industrial and Pharmaceutical
Industries. They are seeking a highly energetic and capable professional who thrives in a fast paced
global trading environment. This position is partly remote.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Coordinator will be the point of contact for customers and suppliers, handling incoming
calls for service and delivery and support general office management tasks.
In addition to customer service experience, the ideal candidate should
have excellent data entry skills and be administratively organized
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
A minimum of 2 years in logistics/trucking (in food, a plus)
Experience from a transportation customer standpoint preferred
Good understanding of interstate commerce transportation regulations and truck utilization
Excellent communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders. Be able to work effectively with a team and individually
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (basic Excel/Word knowledge mandatory). Excellent data entry as well as attention to detail
Resourceful, self-motivated, & goal oriented
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize? Proven ability in problem solving and logically work though issues based on known variables
Vendor problem resolution: service failure monitoring & development
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate logistics functions and customer focused freight operation. This includes day-to? Day order/shipment management from beginning to end and includes administrative functions.
Resolve freight and delivery related opportunities/issues
Root cause analysis: resolve issues and take preventative action to prevent future occurrences

EDUCATION:
· Bachelors in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
