Job Description:
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist performs a variety of complex human resource duties on a professional level, partnering closely with senior HR management and other leaders has required. This position handles both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and helps the company plan and administer staffing, training, development, and succession planning. This position supports a wide range of HR tasks and requires a team player that maintains a high level of knowledge in both state and federal compliance requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in succession planning and employee development programs
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OFCCP and AAP requirements
- Responsible for the updating employee handbooks, with the support of the human resources department team
- Establish and document regulatory training plan and ensure training is disseminated through the Trijicon Career Portal.
- Build departmental annual activities chart by working with members of the human resources team.
- Responsible for filing all annual EEO-1 reports and maintain records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Work with AAP resource provider to provide reporting requirements to establish AAP plans, including hires, terminations, promotions, demographic information, veteran information and all other pertinent related records.
- Track and file all hiring records in compliance with AAP requirement, including, applicants, interview notes and requisitions.
- Responsible for the administration of the Trijicon Career portal, including systems maintenance, scheduling of training, tracking and push of performance reviews and other company processes.
- Document and build succession planning within the Trijicon career portal
- Ensure all company organizational charts are updated as changes occur.
- Responsible for developing positive employee relations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Responsible to assist in recruitment, including interviewing and selecting employees to fill vacant positions.
- Recruit for open positions and ensure that Company EEO/AAP policies are followed during the screening of applicants, interview and hiring process.
- Ensure that recruiting systems, applicant flow logs and required promotion, transfer and other EEO/AAP records are retained correctly.
- Draft and update job descriptions; assist in classifying positions and/or reclassifying positions as needed.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of general state and federal employment compliance requirements.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs as necessary.
- Support day to day questions to help resolve issues/concerns for employees.
- Support employee on-boarding activities; answer employee questions and provide support to managers when integrating new hires into the organization.
- Support employee benefit programs, answer employee questions, support claim resolution, and maintain related systems.
- Support the performance review process; provide employees and managers with information to process reviews within policy and as drafted in job descriptions.
- Assist the processing of payroll.
- Serve as employee liaison to assist in problem resolution with issues related to benefit deductions and pay.
- Ensures that a status forms for new hires, terminations, and transfers have been completed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience in the creation and maintenance of succession planning
- Experience with electronic career, training and succession planning systems.
- Experience with ADP payroll and the creation of reports
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration.
- Strong ethics, integrity and qualities that inspire trust and confidence.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or applicable Degree.
- 5+ years of work experience working in a Human Resources role.
- SPHR certification or Professional Human Resources Certification a plus.

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with complex problems involving a few concrete variables/details in variable situations.
