The Senior level PROCESS ENGINEER will be responsible for completing process development for manufacturing engineering to set up new production lines. Processes and equipment on this line includes: Promess Presses, Ingersol Rand Torque Drivers, Herman Ultrasonic Welders, Lasermarking, Manual Assembly, CMM Measurements, Ignition SCADA, and LabView driven end of line test systems. The project involves working closely under the direction of a lead process engineer to develop process parameters for servo presses and digital torque drivers. Additional responsibilities may include developing mechanical fixturing and assembly processes to optimize assembly within the plant
Day-to-Day Duties May Include:
- Ensuring quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications
- Selecting components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements
- Working with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols
- Analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis
- Leading and/or participating in process review meetings
- Participating in Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), DFM, Control Plan, SOP and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) generation associated with product transfers and launches
- Completing capability studies for in process inspection and generating subsequent inspection documentation
- Reviewing and approving validation documentation
- Providing feedback and redlines on manufacturing work instructions, layouts, and equipment
- Providing on-going status reports including periodic reviews progress and evaluation of results to management
Qualifications:
- S in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Technical understanding of mechanical engineering drawing principles, including dimensioning methods, theory and application of GD&T, types of datum systems, manufacturing and/or inspection jigs and fixtures, limits and fits , surface roughness specification
- Supplier Quality Engineering/auditing experience preferred
- Familiarity with PPAP, control plans and validation is preferred
- Experience in an FDA regulated environment (preferably Medical Device) or regulated industry beneficial
- Experience with managing Manufacturing transfer projects very beneficial
- Experience in ECR/ECN and systems such as onePLM, Windchill & SAP beneficial
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
