Under general supervision, is responsible for less complex to moderately complex functions of community corrections work involved with pretrial and sentenced individuals. Depending on the area assigned, may interview defendants in jail or at local police lockups to complete assessments and bail recommendations, present bail recommendations in District and Circuit Court, supervise conditions of release for defendants ordered to supervision by the court, monitor misdemeanor offenders in the community who have been sentenced to the weekend/weekday work program, assess and develop treatment plans for offenders, facilitate groups and meet individually with offenders sentenced to the Step Forward Program, as well as any other duties that may be directed by the Manager. Specific activities and work schedules vary depending on the area assigned. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department-specific software to complete assignments.
