Position Overview:
Safely operates machines or tools performing one or more repetitive assembly duties in manufacturing operations to mass produce parts-in-process or finished product.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate drill presses, saws, lathe, Bridgeport’s, mill machines and hand tools
- Responsible for inspecting, assembling, packaging of parts and products
- Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and notifying supervisors of needs
- Verifies all safety features are in place prior to starting any job
- Selects stock for current job process according to specifications
- Responsible for tool changeovers and set-ups
- Maintain consistent production levels with conformance to job specifications
- Pulls damaged or ineffective product or equipment and brings to supervisors attention
- General housekeeping of work area
- Assist shipping and receiving as needed
- Assist with grounds maintenance as needed
- Work Over Time as required
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education / Certification
- Basic math and reading skills required
- Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions
- Ability to interpret machine gauges
- Fluent in English and the ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
- Personal Attributes
- Ability & willingness to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions
- Good attendance a must
- Other Skills / Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs often
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, kneel as needed to perform job functions
- Ability to work independently after receiving instructions
