As an experienced Business Analyst (Functional Analyst) you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and documenting business needs via user stories in a format that is both implementable and testable. This role will participate as a member of a highly performing, scrum-based team in a Scaled Agile Framework.

THIS IS A REMOTE BASED ROLE. CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN THE US.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Research and analyze user need to build or update implementable user stories at a level of detail negotiated with the scrum team(s).
Delineate the product roadmap into epics and user story groupings that make sense to the business and scrum team(s).
Ensure that user stories are testable with an appropriately defined acceptance criteria that covers all aspects for testing the functionality.
Utilize experience with design approaches enhancing end user experience.
Serve as an intermediary between the development team, UI designer and the user community to refine user stories as appropriate and represent the voice of the customer to the scrum team(s).
Perform functional modeling and/or create wireframes as needed based on requirements analysis for review and feedback with the user community.
Ensure sprint deliverables meet the user needs as defined by users and other project stakeholders. Serve as the primary lead for conducting product demos.
Provide support and assistance for the update of project documentation including system procedures, presentations, training materials, and user communications.
Work with the product owner and user group in maintenance (grooming) of the sprint backlog and participate in all Scrum ceremonies and activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
A minimum of 5 years of related functional analyst experience required.
Ability to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the principles, business drivers, work processes, and applicable regulations in assigned subject-matter area(s).
Functional analysis experience with system development projects.
Skilled in the use of requirements management tools, specifically the Atlassian-branded tools of Jira and Confluence as well as the Microsoft Office suite of tools. Experience in the use of Balsamiq Wireframes a plus.
Experience in working in a Scrum / SAFe agile environment.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
Experience/background with the healthcare industry and/or government contracting is desirable.
Experience with a Human-centered design approach is a plus.
Effective interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as support multiple project efforts concurrently.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders.
Effective leadership skills and overall business acumen.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must.
