Job Description
Job Summary
Prepares patients for medical cross-sectional computerized tomography (CT) imaging and all related duties. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Essential Functions
Verifies patients' clinical history, ensuring that information is documented and readily available to the licensed practitioner.
Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
Selects proper technical factors and operates equipment and accessories as directed. Positions patients and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
Prepares / administers contrast media and / or medications as per protocol.
Evaluates images and data for technical quality, manipulates display parameters assuring proper identification is evident.
Schedules patients for procedures.
Assignments are routine; follows established protocols. Works under close supervision, seeks guidance where needed; requires some instruction on day-to-day work and resolves routine problems.
Maintains a clean work environment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department/unit personnel.
Qualifications
Required Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
Preferred Bachelor's Degree
CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon Hire required Or
CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required Or
CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Upon Hire required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography 2 Yrs required Or
CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 2 Yrs required
