ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Home Medical Equipment Technician, LPN, EMT, or possess equivalent training and experience preferred.
Prior Home Medical Equipment Technician and/or Home Medical Equipment Assistant experience highly desirable. Prior training and work experience in the field of Respiratory Care highly desirable
Possess current Michigan motor vehicle license, and is able to drive to deliver equipment to patients' homes.
Possesses and maintains good driving record.
Possess a working phone.
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and access all areas of office and warehouse.
Meets Munson Home Health established requirements for proof of health status. Physically able to lift 35 pounds. Demonstrates ability to move, position and transfer clients utilizing good body mechanics, lifting techniques and/or assistive devices to avoid manipulating more than 35 pounds.
Meets Home Health and Medicare standards as evidenced by criminal background check and fingerprinting.
ORGANIZATION
Reports to the Manager of Munson Home Medical Equipment.
May receive assignment from Branch Coordinator, Tech II, or Office Coordinator.
Has constant working contact with hospital staff, physicians, physicians' staff, and the general public.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Home Health.

Promotes personal and patient safety.
Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
Responsible for developing individual patient home medical equipment care plans as required by CHAP.
Teaches customer/caregiver how to safely utilize, maintain, and troubleshoot their home medical equipment and respiratory care products. This teaching will be basic (dealing mainly with the equipment), yet concise.
Shares the on-call responsibilities with other technicians/therapists and staff.
Provides for the delivery, assembly, and return of durable medical and respiratory equipment.
Performs call-back visits on equipment requiring monitoring/maintenance according to policy.
Maintains accurate patient files and strives to remain current on reimbursement and industry issues.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment and also maintains a clean warehouse and showroom.
Works as a team player to assure patient satisfaction with our services and fosters positive intra- and interdepartmental relations.
Performs all functions and activities with professionalism, confidentiality, and tact.
Responsible for delivery of services in compliance with the policy and procedure manual.
Employees with e-mail are required to maintain proficiency in the basic functions of the program and are also required to regularly check email and keep calendars up to date.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
