This is a multi-unit RN position, which involves staffing assignments on multiple units, per the agreement with UMPNC, Section H, page 55, Multi-Unit Positions.
Units for this position include University Hospital-4C, Adult Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit and University Hospital-7C, Adult Cardiology Telemetry Unit. The home unit will be 4C, Adult Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit; holidays and PTO will be determined from the home unit, 4C, Adult Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit.
Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to critically ill surgical patients/families who experience a wide variety of complex, multi-system health problems and to participate in health activities.
4C Adult Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed adult telemetry step-down unit specializing in the delivery of care to post-operative patients who have undergone cardio-thoracic surgeries such as heart valve replacements/repairs, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) implants, heart and lung transplants, various lung surgeries and esophageal surgeries.
- Current RN licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.

Condition of hire for Graduate Nurses:
Selected GN must successfully pass N-CLEX and be licensed as a RN in the state of Michigan no later than 45 days from date of hire.
- BSN preferred.
- Telemetry experience
- Recent ICU/ICU step-down experience.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving, leadership and effective delegation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- ACLS or CCRN certification

Salary range for Registered Nurses- $69,966 to $108,327
- Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 per hour
- Night Shift Differential- $3.40 per hour
- Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour
