Provides a historical, sociological, and psychosocial overview of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and other marginalized gender/sexual identity experiences in higher education. Topics include a history of LGBTQ+ faculty and staff, the organization of LGBTQ+ support on college campuses, inter-group differences in LGBTQ+ campus experiences, and contemporary issues of the population.

- Serve as instructor of record virtual course for graduate students in Higher Education
- Create and maintain course materials on Canvas
- Be available to students for out-of-class instructional purposes (such as through office hours and over email)
- Create assignments to enhance student learning
- Evaluate student performance
- Familiarity with subject matter as demonstrated either through research or previous coursework
- PhD in higher education, gender/sexuality studies, or other relevant area
- Familiarity with at least two areas of higher education LGBTQ+ scholarship: history, psychology, sociology, anthropology
- Previous experience with teaching a synchronous, online course
