Information Technology Support Specialist II
Department: Operations
Reports to: Information Technology Analyst
Employment Status Classification: Exempt - Salary, Full Time, Grant Funded
Job Description Summary:
The IT Support Specialist position is a technical, hands-on position responsible for providing technical support and assistance to staff, including setting up workstation hardware and preparing or re-imagine workstation PCs and other staff equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Function as 'Tier 1' technical support of all CHN staff (both on-site and remote) to resolve problems with equipment, technology, or data.
- Assist with general workstation maintenance and software upgrades.
- Perform any other related IT duties of a similar technical level.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2-4 year's experience with IT support and technical troubleshooting required; high level of experience with Microsoft Windows, Office 365 ProPlus and Adobe products preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- High proficiency with computer and software concepts.
- Experience and familiarity with Active Directory preferred.
- General familiarity with LAN networking practices.
- Experience with using help desk ticketing systems preferred.
- High proficiency with computer and software concepts.
- Highly motivated with strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability and initiative to research and troubleshoot problem independently.
- Strong communication skills preferably with a patient disposition.
- Access to reliable transportation to support CHN satellite offices.
Location and Travel
Work is performed primarily in our Troy, MI office, however a partial remote work schedule may be accommodated based on organization needs.
CHN reserves the right to require a motor vehicle record check with respect to any employee where driving is an essential function of the position.
Physical Demands
Primary functions of this job are sedentary; occasionally this position may require activities of commuting to the Corporate office, attending off-site meetings, trainings or organizational events.
