Altarum is seeking an executive Chief of Staff to join the Office of the Chief Executive Officer. The position will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will work in close partnership with the executive team and the VPs. This role will use strong leadership and problem-solving skills to concentrate the efforts that will drive Altarum forward while also acting as the glue to ease communications and unite people. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration. - Work with the CEO and executive team to determine and prioritize business strategies; act as a change agent to drive the CEO’s agenda.
- Advise and assist the CEO on setting strategy and making strategic decisions for the enterprise.
- In conjunction with the leadership team, establish annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic priorities and facilitate workflows advancing them.
- Coordinate resources and tools with the leadership team so that they can manage and achieve annual and multi-year operational and strategic goals.
- Drive efforts improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO, the executive team, and Altarum’s leadership team, while focusing on the success of the collective team members
- Manage CEO preparation for important internal and external meetings and events.
- Oversee the communications strategy and annual budget process.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and potential clients.
- Build and develop relationships with employees across the enterprise for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar field
10+ years in a business or management role with 5+ years of executive level leadership
Deep subject matter expertise in health services
Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
Versatile, efficient, enjoys fast-paced setting.
Experience planning and leading business initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data analysis
Experience with budget and operations management
Proven success in a project coordination role
Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
