Guardian Industries is seeking you to become our next Account Manager in Troy, MI!
What You Will Do In Your RoleCustomer Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans for specific customer or group of customers in accordance with corporate goals and product direction
- Utilize corporate resources and external sources to perform market analysis regarding vehicle production, future products and styling trends, and use this analysis as the foundation of customer strategy and growth plan generation
- Lead the account profitability analysis activity to ensure sustainable account financial performance
- Conduct data analysis of customer trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue relative to assigned accounts leading to development of price targets in line with current market conditions to maximize profit
Relationship Management
- Manage the overall customer relationship and be responsible to deepen customer relationships in purchasing, engineering, styling and other relevant customer functions
- Pursue new opportunities and communicate with customers on existing and future programs
- Interface with customer purchasing, design, engineering, and quality personnel to achieve a balance between the company's and customer's expectations
Account Coordination
- Negotiate and implement pricing for customer programs
- Coordinate with global counterparts on the development and implementation of the customer/product strategy
- Interact with management team and manufacturing operations on cost and pricing issues
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing facilities to resolve open issues to normal business activities
- Create measures to demonstrate waste reduction
This position will require 10-15% travel
The Experience You Will BringRequirements:- 10+ years of experience in sales / engineering / program management
- Experience using critical economic thinking, Excel analysis and analysis for business opportunities
- Experience in the automotive sector
- Experience developing and implementing a growth strategy
