Job Description:
The position involves structural design of commercial, industrial, institutional and residential buildings utilizing numerous materials such as structural steel, wood, reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry. The majority of the time will be spent in the office although field work is required on occasion. The typical client base consists of architects, contractors, insurance adjusters and building owners.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years structural engineering experience related to building design (desired).
- Candidate must be a licensed professional engineer (PE) or qualified to sit for the professional engineer’s examination.
- A working knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and ASCE 7 is required.
- Written and oral communication skills are necessary.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bentley Systems structural software is desirable.
