We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern for the summer. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures within a health care setting. You will focus on organizing assigned projects that are in support of the transition to the new hospital being constructed. In addition to project duties, the intern will have the opportunity to work with managers, directors and C-suite members of the team to gather and document information per assigned projects.
Perform clerical duties, create agendas, take meeting notes, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, etc. as needed.
Assist with research and gather documentation and tag historical items on UPHS Marquette Hospital History & art.
Assist with research and gather documentation on current phone number structure to prepare for the transition to a new phone system.
Take notes and memos during meetings.
Type documents, drafts, and reports to be reviewed by executive leadership.
Coordinate closely with the Information Technology Telecom Team.
Respond to emails to manage work assigned.
Create and maintain MS PowerPoint presentations, Excel and Word documents
Minimum Education * High school diploma or equivalent required * Current enrollment in university/college program required *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Web Applications.
