POSITION SUMMARY: This inspection position is a critical member of the manufacturing team that ensures our customers receive the highest quality level of manufactured product possible.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects manufactured product, tooling set ups, testing product functions, evaluates nonconformances in manufacturing, rejects items as needed.
- Interprets blueprints to review product, assists manufacturing employees with blueprint specifications as it relates to the product.
- Reviews returned goods for defect analysis.
- Documents all rejected items into appropriate data collection.
- Reviews received supplier product within manufacturing, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass all Inspection testing at 70% or higher to even be considered for this position. Blueprint Reading Test, Gaging Inspection Test and Math and Color Test
- Manufacturing experience
- Basic computer knowledge
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Detailed analytical skills are needed to succeed along with problem solving, interpersonal interaction with all manufacturing and management employees to successfully resolve any nonconformances to root cause analysis and be part of the solution for corrective actions.
- Proficient with measuring devices, tape measure, calipers, square, protractor.
- Ability to work regular schedules set forth by the Management team.
- Fast paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions during the day, ability to think on your feet and prioritize activities accordingly.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Standing for entire shift.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Able to move objects weighing over 75 lbs. to view critical characteristics during final inspection.
- Able to twist, bend, stoop as needed.
- Exposure to heat, dust, noise, and sudden loud sounds.
- Safety glasses are required.
