POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant handles a variety of duties to assist the Accounting Team in handling accounting tasks for CU Answers, its partners and clients. The Billing Coordinator is a Staff Accountant that specializes in the Billing Process and has the potential to handle typical accounting functions as well.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform various accounting and clerical functions as assigned by the CFO or V.P. of Finance, including Accounts Payable, billings, purchase orders, filing, end-of-month reporting, data entry, bank deposits, account reconciliations and other duties as required.
Maintain a positive contribution as a member of the Accounting Team and complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives including participation and contribution to monthly team meetings
Contribute to Accounting Team Reports
Perform various accounting and clerical functions related to the billing of clients for CU Answers, Xtend, CU Student Choice, and other Accounting Services clients as assigned. These duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates all billing documentation, electronic and manual with all departments
Reviews and verifies information for accuracy
Maintains the billing system (CU Billing) and enters all billing data into the software
Maintenance of various spreadsheets and documentation to support transactions
Responsible for the import and integration of billing data into Accounting Software
Coordination and processing of invoicing and distribution of invoices to clients
Providing assistance to clients as needed regarding billing inquiries.
Maintain all instructional documentation for billing processes for all companies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or equivalent is required.
Accounting experience is required.
Experience using computer accounting systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
