Junior Financial Analyst
If you have prior training in finance, Robert Half Finance may have an excellent Financial Analyst opportunity for applicants with strong communication skills. Daily functions will consist of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Junior Financial Analyst role, which is a full-time employment opportunity, is located in the Troy, Michigan. Key responsibilities
• Perform monthly balancing of Member-related accounts (draws, capital, AR, NP, etc.)
• Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual Attorney incentives
• Calculate annual Member, Attorney, and Staff profit sharing contributions
• Prepare Member departure reports
• Support the annual Member nominations and allocations process
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget for Member compensation and related accounts
• Review and summarize letter agreements for lateral Attorneys
• Summarize annual statistical information for Associates and Of Counsel performance reviews
• Calculate annual Member fringe benefit chargeback
• Calculate semi-annual Member interest on capital
• Assist Accounting Team Leadership and Firm Management with other ad hoc reporting and projects.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Financial Analyst, Director of Finance and/or Vice-President of Finance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required, and 2-3 years related experience in a professional services or public accounting setting (CPA preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to consistently display professionalism in tone and spirit
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with business and accounting software applications (ex: Microsoft Excel (intermediate/advanced), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook)
• Problem solving skills/ability to transfer technical knowledge
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
