Eaton has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Tax Analyst, Transfer Pricing Strategy to join our Corporate Tax team. This position can be based at our Houston, TX, Beachwood, OH or any U.S remote location.
Position overview:
This position is a dynamic position within the Transfer Pricing Controversy group. The position will collaborate with the Senior Manager - Transfer Pricing Strategy with developing, implementing, and defending Eaton's worldwide transfer pricing strategy for controversy related to intercompany transactions. It is expected that the candidate for this role will be able to take a leadership role on projects that generate or protect shareholder value. This role will have responsibility for ensuring a consistent TP strategy is applied across all audits, improving relationships with taxing authorities through timely, complete and concise responses to inquiries, and supporting transfer pricing litigation within the region.

In this function you will:
Identify and analyze intercompany transactions, with a focus on supporting transactions under tax audit.
Model various scenarios to provide senior tax leadership information for critical decisions.
Develop functional and financial analyses, review and critique of tax authority analyses.
Support and often lead mission critical transfer pricing controversy strategy projects that impact shareholder value such as Information Document Request ("IDR") responses, settlement discussions and litigation support.
Proactively identify and manage transfer pricing risks and propose solutions.
Review required global transfer pricing documentation for consistency with the global controversy strategy; utilize past experience to provide constructive feedback for improving documentation.
Collaborate with Eaton's senior controllership team to review transfer pricing policies and monitor on-going compliance with a focus on consistency and defensibility.
Collaborate with Direct Tax team for both U.S. and foreign entities' audit defense, which includes developing strategic responses to IDRs in a timely and concise manner, reviewing and analyzing government positions to provide strategic defense options to TP leadership, and developing and recommending strategies to reach resolution with the tax authorities.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) years' experience in tax
Minimum two (2) years' experience in transfer pricing at a multinational corporation or big 4 accounting firm
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in economics, accounting, finance and/or tax
Professional qualification such as the CPA/CFA or similar
Six (6) years' experience in tax
