Unit Description: 36 bed unit specializing in prevention, maintenance, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Unit also dedicates patient focus to post-operative care of heart surgery cases.
Scheduled Hours: FT Days- This associate will work three 12 hour shifts per week from 7:00AM through 7:30PM. This will include rotating weekends and holidays. *This is not a summer position, and will continue through the school year. *
What You Will Do
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activitiesof daily living and taking vital signs.
Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.
Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.
Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
