The Arcanum Group is seeking a Contract Specialist in Ann Arbor, MI. This position will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, analyzing, advising and assisting with awards and termination on contracts for the procurement of supplies and services in support of Federal Government acquisitions. The successful candidate will have prior Federal contracting experience with and/or knowledge of the FAR.
Responsibilities
· Researches, analyzes and reviews all applicable policies, guidance and regulations to make contracting recommendations to support the customer and the Government Contracting in their decision-making.
· Provides procurement assistance, advice, and guidance to the customer as requested.
· Advises acquisition team as needed on price, cost, and/or financial related matters throughout the development of sourcing strategies and throughout the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award of contractual actions for supplies and services.
· Provides cost and price analysis recommendations as requested regarding independent government estimates to determine price reasonableness.
· Recommends business solutions to day-to-day contractual challenges.
· Performs acquisition strategy planning, requirements review and Performance Work Statement (PWS)/Statement of Work (SOW) development in collaboration with customers, source selection support, synopsis and solicitation development, preparing mandatory contract file documentation, contract management and administration.
· Prepares contract files and electronic documents.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
· Four years of providing government agency contract administration and procurement experience that includes documented experience in Federal government acquisitions and working knowledge of FAR and/or VAAR based procurements
· Must be efficient in using all Microsoft Office applications and be experienced in using an electronic procurement contract writing system to generate solicitations, contracts and modifications
