The Vehicle Integration Quality Engineer (VIQE) is responsible for defining Perceived Quality and Design Quality targets and enablers by leading the implementation working in collaboration with multifunctional teams. This role promotes the early identification of execution issues taking advantage of clay/math evaluations and virtual/physical models. NX math skills are required to develop execution proposals for virtual reviews driving accountability and partnership with Studios, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to enable on-time performance and first-time quality at major milestones.
Responsibilities:
As a Vehicle Integration Quality Engineer, your daily objectives will include:
Be the customers advocate, and the voice to support Perceived Quality and Design Quality objectives
Be the voice and correctly advocate for quality executions enabling on-time performance and first-time quality at major milestones
Benchmarking of competitive products and evaluate design execution trends.
Coordinate the math, document issues, make recommendations, and identify action items.
Develop training for quality and improve PQ/DQ awareness across the Engineering Enterprise.
Define Design Quality targets and enablers and lead the implementation working in collaboration with multifunctional teams.
Early identification of execution issues using physical and virtual tools to evaluate design interfaces. Utilize physical and virtual mock-ups to illustrate alternatives.
Assist and mentor multifunctional teams providing guidance to solve problems and resolve issues.
Provide early vehicle assessments and communicate potential quality issues to VAMs and Program Teams.
Support Body Opening Appearance reviews for input and issue assessment.* Support/Assist with the development of Virtual and Table-Top models as needed
